In December 2016, the Family Division of the High Court of Justice awarded Tatiana Akhmedova the largest ever English reported divorce settlement, ordering her ex-husband Farkhad Akhmedov to pay her £453,576,152.

Since then, the High Court has found Mr Akhmedov has “engag[ed] in an elaborate and contumacious campaign to evade and frustrate the enforcement of the Judgment debt against him”; he “has done all that he can to frustrate enforcement” and “has not voluntarily paid a penny”.
