The trial of the Wife’s application for financial relief took place between 29 November and 5 December 2016.1
On 15 December 2016, Mr Justice Haddon-Cave found that: Tatiana’s claim for ancillary financial relief succeeded in the sum of £453,576,152 (comprising 41.5% of the total marital assets).2
As Tatiana already holds assets of £10,165,162 in value, the following were to be transferred to her:3
- the contents of the family home in Surrey (£2,479,125)
- an Aston martin car owned by Farkhad (£350,000)
- a collection of modern artwork (estimated value £90,581,865)
To meet the balance, Farkhad was to be ordered to pay to Tatiana the sum of £350,000,000.4
Out of that lump sum monetary award, £224,430,508 was identified as being awarded for the purposes of Tatiana’s maintenance requirements (pursuant to the EU Maintenance Regulation).5
A decree absolute (the court’s final order concluding the divorce process) was granted on 15 December 2016.
On 20 December 2016, Mr Justice Haddon-Cave issued the Financial Remedy Order, which contained the orders putting in place the divorce settlement as set out in the judgment.
